 Dr.
Jamie Barnes
recently joined the staff at Bennett Optometry as a Primary care and contact lens specialist. In 2001 Dr. Barnes received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford Ohio. Before optometry school she worked here at Bennett Optometry as a contact lens technician. She went to optometry school at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, where she graduated first in her class in 2005. Dr. Barnes did clinical rotations at a HMO/LASIK center, a Veterans Administration hospital, and a state prison. Her specialties include contact lenses, especially difficult fits, and glaucoma. Dr. Barnes currently lives in Canton and enjoys running, rollerblading, traveling, and cooking. She went on the VOSH mission in 2004 and hope’s to go on another one in the future.
