 Dr.
Jonathan D. Hamer.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan, Dr. Hamer enrolled in the Illinois College of Optometry. During his training, he completed externships in Chicago, Illinois, Lexington, Kentucky, Goshen, Indiana, and Montrose, New York. Those externships gave him experience not only in primary eye care, but also in contact lenses, ocular disease, and pediatric eye care.
Upon graduation from ICO (Cum Laude) in May, 2002, Dr. Hamer began practicing full-scope optometry with an emphasis on contact lenses, including post-surgical contact lens fits and Corneal Refractive Therapy. Dr. Hamer is a current member of the American Optometric Association, the Michigan Optometric Association, and the Southeast Council of Optometrists. Newly married, Dr. Hamer and his wife reside in the metro Detroit area.
